Welcome to the UKDL website

Through our website, we aim to inform and educate in an engaging fashion. We cover Displays, Lighting and Backlighting in all aspects from fundamental materials development through to applications for specific end users. We cater for technology from the point of its invention to the time when it must be refurbished, recycled or safely disposed of. The KTN is organized into 4 sub-groups to simplify information dissemination and to service our broad remit successfully.

We are the home of Plastic Electronics, Flat Panel Displays and Solid State Lighting in the UK and organize activities to strengthen our community.

Our Mission:

To support the disparate needs of the Displays and Lighting communities in the UK including SMEs, OEMs and Academics.

Our Scope:

From Science Base through Manufacturing and Standards and into strategic End User markets, from initial scientific invention to end of life product disassembly, recycling and safe disposal of materials.

Our Commitment:

To make our members more profitable by increasing their knowledge and skills base, and by introducing them to potential partners for collaborative research and to potential supply chain members.
